J-B Weld UltraRez is a two-part coating and casting epoxy that is specially formulated with UV-resistance for both indoor and outdoor coating/casting projects. When properly mixed and applied, UltraRez cures crystal clear with a durable finish that resists scratches, impact, and hot objects up to 150°F.

Prepare

Make sure temps are above 75º with humidity below 60%. Clean surface of dust and debris, ensuring work area is dry and dust-free. Cover area around project with sheeting to catch any drips. Bond any objects to be embedded to the surface.

Measure & Mix

Pour equal parts of Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) into separate measuring cups with a 1:1 ratio.

Pour Hardener (Part B) into mixing cup first, then add Resin (Part A), scraping sides and bottoms to ensure equal proportions. Mix thoroughly with stir stick for 3-5 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of container for proper mixing.

Pour mixed product into second mixing cup, scraping all product from sides and bottom. Thoroughly mix for an additional 1-2 minutes. Let mixture sit for 3 minutes.

Pour

Apply initial seal coat - a thin layer that will reduce air bubbles - by pouring mixture across surface in a zig-zag motion, and then spread with a squeegee. Remove any air bubbles with heat. Let dry for 3-5 hours.

Apply flood coat - pour the mixture across the entire surface (mixture will self-level). Use rubber squeegee or brush to guide.

Remove air bubbles with a heat gun or hair dryer, sweeping across entire surface at a 45º angle to pop bubbles.

Cure

Keep product in clean, dust-free environment until fully cured. Product will dry in 5-6 hours, and will fully cure in 24 hours.
