J-B Weld ClearRez is a two-part epoxy casting resin that is specially formulated for casting projects such as encapsulating, jewelry, decor, river tables, and more. When properly mixed and applied, ClearRez cures crystal clear with a durable finish that resists scratches and impact.

Prepare

Make sure temps are above 75º with humidity below 60%. Clean surface of dust and debris, ensuring work area is dry and dust-free. Cover area around project with sheeting to catch any drips. Seal any porous objects before embedding.

Measure & Mix

Pour equal parts of Part A (Resin) and Part B (Hardener) into separate measuring cups with a 1:1 ratio.

Pour Hardener (Part B) into mixing cup first, then add Resin (Part A), scraping sides and bottoms to ensure equal proportions. Mix thoroughly with stir stick for 3-5 minutes, scraping the sides and bottom of container for proper mixing.

Pour mixed product into second mixing cup, scraping all product from sides and bottom. Thoroughly mix for an additional 1-2 minutes. Let mixture sit for 3 minutes.

Pour

Pour the mixture into mold or on desired surface. Embed or encapsulate objects as desired, and cover with additional mixture. ClearRez can be poured to a maximum depth of 1".

Remove air bubbles with a heat gun or hair dryer, sweeping across entire surface at a 45º angle to pop bubbles.

Cure

ClearRez demolds after 12 hours - twist mold slightly to free casting pieces. Keep product in clean, dust-free environment until fully cured, in around 24 hours.
